Disconnection For Non-payment To Resume Wednesday, May 27th

The temporary suspension of disconnects during the COVID-19 pandemic was planned to expire after May 14th. At the request of the state, Northcentral Electric Cooperative has decided to extend this deadline through Memorial Day. We will resume disconnections for non-payment of services beginning Wednesday, May 27,, 2020.

Members who are behind on their accounts do have options. We encourage those experiencing hardship to call us at 800-325-8925 to make payment arrangements with our Customer Service Representatives. Northcentral is prepared to spread those balances over a series of months to ease the burden on our members facing hardship due to the pandemic. It is recommended that members make any effort to make payments on their accounts as they are able in order to avoid balances being combined with typically higher summer billings.

If you or someone you know is having trouble paying their energy bills, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) may be able to help. This federally-funded program helps eligible low-income households pay for their home energy bills. To check your eligibility and to apply for LIHEAP assistance, contact the following county agencies as soon as possible as their services are in high demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.
